IWGP Women's Championship: Mayu Iwatani (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa
It has been a while since the IWGP Joshi belt was defended in New Japan. The match had the feeling of an "away match" that the crowd was intially cold to. But the wrestlers worked hard to create a captivating and dynamic performance and eventually won them over. Mina Shirakawa's offense was heavy, grinding down on the leg in prep for her figure-four, while Mayu Iwatani showed her usual zombie-like endurance. ***3/4
