Misa Matsui's potential reached full bloom in this, her best bout yet. While she still lacks in finishing power, her energy was undeniable. She attacked relentlessly throughout the match, with Mari showing her veteran resilience as champion. The early ground grappling where they put their traditional wrestling skills on display was particularly enjoyable – perhaps a subtle tribute to Asahi, who remained a "wrestler" despite her shift to a so-called non-wrestling promotion. A compelling and emotional bout. ****1/4
