Princess of Princess Championship: Mizuki (c) vs. Miyu Yamashita
Mizuki played the role of a "never lose" champion exceptionally well here, a familiar theme throughout her reign. She is like a Ric Flair or Nick Bonkwinkel in that she always seems to have something up her sleeve. Miyu Yamashita was all pressure from the start, with Mizuki desperately fighting back. Miyu's offense was hard and heavy, in contrast to Mizuki's more florid style. They really nailed the drama of the finishing stretch, which swelled to high density. A strong main event between two of the promotion's best veterans, but it's hard to shake the feeling that TJPW is lacking novelty in their PuriPuri scene. ****
