Tokyo Princess Cup - Finals: Miyu Yamashita vs. Yuki Kamifuku
Yuki Kamifuku fought with the momentum of an ozeki on the verge of promotion, while Miyu Yamashita stood as resolute as a yokozuna. Kamiyu's pre-bell attack hinted at a swift start, but Miyu promptly quelled the momentum with kicks and knees. Kamiyu's gradual pushback in the face of pressure eventually developed into a genuine back and forth. As in the match against Yuki Arai, Miyu gave without compromising her integrity. And Kamiyu's emotional story was well served through tenacity and affecting facial expressions. She may have lost, but she was undeniably the star of the tournament. A great finals. ****
