IWGP Women's Championship: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. AZM vs. Hazuki
The IWGP women's belt stirred controversy upon its initial launch, making it all the more emotional to witness how far it has come. A women's title match being so warmly embraced by the New Japan audience, particularly within the grandeur of Sumo Hall, was truly remarkable. AZM and Hazuki set the pace with their blistering high-speed movement, while Mercedes Mone served as a "junction point" around which much of the drama and tension revolved. Despite Mone's status as a superstar, her humility shined through, as she took on her opponents with utmost respect and fearlessness. ****1/4
