Blue Stars: Giulia vs. Saya Kamitani
The 2020 GP match between these two was a personal gem of mine and I couldn't wait to see them face again. They have an excellent chemistry; their timing and movements are almost a perfect match together. This was a high paced back and forth with some amazing counterwork and neither giving up an inch. Since Giulia was no match for Kamitani in terms of physical ability and speed, she needed to take advantage of split-second opportunities and show the depth of her wrestling. Giulia has used a different finish for each of her wins, and here she unveiled a new submission finisher to ground the high-flying Kamitani. ****1/2
