In a time where women’s death & hardcore matches in Japan are done just for the sake of doing it, this match stands out as a hardcore match with a strong story and purpose, to deepen the feud between Giulia and Suzu; Suzu showing her way of life to Giulia and the Stardom audience; and the budding development of Mai Sakura, the oldest but least experienced DDM. Mai's resolve was one of the most compelling aspects of the match. Diving into uncharted territory, she stood ground and braved ferocious attacks from monsters. It was a chaotic and brutal match but well-orchestrated, not getting too messy or out of control like hardcore matches often do. Giulia & Mai's inexperienced, unconventional methods of attack and Suzu & Sera showing their hardened experience created a compelling combination. ****
