Elimination: Chanyota, Marika Kobashi & Rina Yamashita vs. Maya Yukihi, Sumire Natsu & Saori Anou
This was my first time watching a full-length PPP Tokyo match. It was lively and entertaining. The wrestlers worked hard and used the elimination rules effectively. However, the background music proved to be a distraction. The noise coming from the ring is all the "BGM" we need in a wrestling match. Marika Kobashi seems hard working and motivated. Her body has gotten bigger (she has solid muscle tone, so it's not just weight gain), and she has shown some improvement in her technique. But she still hasn't changed that much in the last 3 years. I think she needs to think more about her desired wrestling identity and how to communicate it to the audience in order to reach her full potential. I still don't know what kind of wrestler she wants to be. The match had an underdog storyline centered around PPP Tokyo natives Chanyota and Marika, with Chanyota scoring the big win over Natsu. All in all, it was an entertaining match. ***1/4
