Stardom - Stardom in Yamagata 2024 (3/31/2024)

Tam Nakano vs. Mai Sakurai

A moving farewell match for Maipan! Returning to her debut costume against her former leader Tam Nakano was incredibly symbolic. Each move carried emotion, building amazing tension in such a short time. It had that disturbing air that Tam Nakano is good at creating, and her finishing with the VSD felt significant. Mai Sakurai faced her past to move on without regrets. No matter where her path leads, may the Kouzen spirit be with her. ****

Giulia vs. Suzu Suzuki

Giulia's proper goodbye to Suzu Suzuki! While her departure match against Tam Nakano was filled with raw emotion and muddiness, this felt rugged and fiercely competitive. It was a masterpiece of pacing and execution, with neither wrestler wasting a single motion. The two seemed to be enjoying each other naturally as opponents without the stakes of a tournament semi-finals or title match. They flowed perfectly and made the most out of every move. Their elbow blasts were incredibly stiff and their suplexes landed heavy. This stands as my favorite match between them. The 15-minute draw led to a 5-minute overtime where the emotional weight exploded. God tier match. ****1/2

Utami Hayashishita, Saya Kamitani, AZM, Lady C & Miyu Amasaki vs. Natsuko Tora, Starlight Kid, Momo Watanabe, Ruaka & Rina

Pure 10-man magic for Utami Hayashishita's last affiliated match. The chemistry and coordination were top-notch - everyone worked seamlessly together. There were meaningful exchanges between rivals, and timely double-team moves and momentum shifts.  The focus was on Utami and Momo, current and former leaders of QQ, with their emotionally charged battling. Even Oedo Tai's tactics were woven expertly into the action. Amazing match! ****1/4
